This position will be housed within the Center for Health Equity Research and will work directly with Dr. Dave. S/he will be responsible for providing research and evaluation support for the day to day activities of funded programs and projects directed and/or led by Dr. Dave. These include, but are not limited to: Heart Matters, MAPScorp Edgecombe and Nash, NC TraCS, Clinical Scholars. In this position, the successful candidate will not only be required to work with diverse research teams on evaluation, research studies, grant applications and evaluation projects, but also be able to work independently on tasks assigned to them. These tasks will include, but are not limited to: data management, analysis and report development, developing and administering surveys, data compilation and visualizations, requests for data/reports, literature searches.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Because this position involves working on multiple projects, excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to consistently follow through and follow up with assignments of others are critical.
Strong research and analytical skills.
MS Office, MS Excel experience required.
SAS or SPSS experience required.
Meticulous and detail-oriented, able to understand the structure and constraints of different kinds of data and conduct analyses accordingly.
Ability to work independently, identify needs and develop and implement improvements.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on ensuring accuracy, validity and integrity of data.
Ability to clearly, concisely, professionally, and effectively communicate in writing and verbally with staff, faculty, and individuals in other organizations, including report writing.
Master of Public Health or equivalent degree preferred. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Prefer candidates who have experience with programs REDCAP and/or Tableau.
Prefer candidates who have research background/experience in health education and evaluation.
