This position will be responsible for the daily maintenance and management of recruitment activities through the CRM (customer relationship management) and communication. Assists with developing, implementing and managing the process of recruiting and admitting students; providing prospective students and their families with information regarding admissions, processes and policies; and communicating the vision, mission, culture, and content for a variety of constituencies. As part of Enrollment Management Communications, this role fulfills the strategic direction of the university by working collaboratively with Admissions to increase enrollment and strategic goals. This position collaborates with Financial Aid, Registrar, Student Accounting, Data Analytics and Campus Planning and Marketing regularly to ensure the appropriate mix of students are being recruited for the university and to be the communicative wing of recruitment. The incumbent will work closely with each school to develop individualized communication plans, collaborate with other Rutgers University campuses to ensure consistency in admissions and recruitment messaging, and drive the generation of new and innovative enrollment communication strategies.
The Admissions Officer will take strategies from idea stage all the way through successful execution. Responsible for editing and assisting in the production of admissions marketing materials and ensuring that both internal and external web and publication content related to Undergraduate & Graduate and Professional Admissions is up-to-date and relevant for prospective students and families. The ideal candidate will possess high levels of both creativity and detail-orientation, along with the self-motivation to continue multiple projects through to completion simultaneously
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required (or equivalent combination of education and/or experience plus a minimum of two years of experience
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong organization and time management skills, as well as a commitment to customer service philosophy. Familiarity with the admissions funnel, enrollment management and student information systems is also required.
Bachelor’s Required in Marketing, Communications, or English. Master’s degree preferred.
Must have familiarity with Salesforce, TargetX, Pardot or similar CRM systems
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Must be able to carry 25 pounds for recruitment material
Salary: Starting salary will be commensurate with experience and within departmental budgets.
