ECTC is seeking a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Staff Instructor III to instruct, coordinate, promote, and deliver customized CDL training and instruction for students in credit and non-credit programs.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Coordinates the development and delivery of CDL training to students from a variety of backgrounds
Provides input on recruitment and marketing efforts
Coordinates assignments and course scheduling
Counsels individual prospects and students concerning the program and their progress and completion requirements
Escorts student to Kentucky State Police testing facility and prepares them for successful completion of the Class A CDL driving test
Manage CDL operational needs and supplies for the program, working closely with the Workforce Solution Director and Senior Administrative Assistant
Education: Associate's degree (related field), and three years related operating experience, or equivalent (High School Diploma/GED and 5 years related operating experience).
Must hold current Kentucky Commercial Driver's License.
Must have over-the-road CDL driving experience and demonstrated competencies in commercial transportation.
Ability to work effectively on a team
Excellent oral communication and people skills
Strong organizational skills
Proficient computer skills
Preference will be given to applicants with experience as a classroom, road and range Class A CDL instructor.
