The college is creating a new position to serve as an internal business consultant. This position will be responsible for managing initiatives sponsored by senior leadership and intended to increase efficiency and improve college-wide processes and practices, resulting in optimal service delivery to Davidson stakeholders.
For designated college-wide initiatives this position is expected to perform any or all the following activities:
Analyze and document business processes and recommend improvements
Develop business cases and provide accurate financial analysis
Manage the approval process
Assist in the development of project plans to monitor and track progress
Serve as project manager through completion
Manage the prioritization process to ensure resource availability and allocation
Report and escalate to leadership as needed
Maintain project backlog
A successful candidate will have demonstrated:
The ability to manage large and complex projects.
Success in developing business cases and performing financial analysis
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
Proficiency with project management tools
Strong time management, organizational, planning and multitasking skills.
Strong communication skills
Strong process mapping, presentation and system skills. Including project management tool
Experience and Education
Bachelor’s degree, Master preferred
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in any combination of:
Business process analysis, reengineering and improvement
