The Coordinator is an integral part of the Office of Student Financial Aid. This position provides top-notch customer service to students and their families, as well as efficiently and accurately completes processing necessary for a student's financial aid applications. This fast-paced environment allows multiple training opportunities as well as professional growth.
Advise students and families on financial aid eligibility requirements for federal, state, and institutional aid programs.
Assist students with completion of the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
Discuss scholarship and grant renewal criteria
Counsel students and parents on Satisfactory Academic Progress, the Special Circumstances Process, and Verification.
Communicate with students and parents in person, on the phone, and through email
Assist students with Stafford Loan Entrance and Exit Counseling
Counsel students on loan debt, repayment plans, and loan consolidation
Perform outreach activities including supervising a table with office information, high school presentation, and departmental presentations
Represent the Office of Student Financial Aid within the state
Other duties as assigned
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
