The Research Coordinator IIsupports an academic cancer disparities program by focusing on, but not beinglimited to, implementation of research studies, research regulatory management,study recruitment and retention, data collection, manuscript and grantsubmission, direct community outreach, and coordination ofcommunication/marketing needs associated with a clinical cancer disparities andcommunity-based outreach program.
Coordinates relationships with community partners, academic collaborators, research subjects, and stakeholders.
Creates and oversees ongoing recruitment plans. Supervises and assists in recruitment event planning and execution, as well as with marketing, public relations, and advertising of the program's offerings and accomplishments.
Records and metric program recruitment results. Troubleshoots and assess solutions to any deficiencies in accrual.
Assists in participant retention activities for assigned project(s) as directed. Discusses challenges or problems in this area with others to assure maximal use of experiences to resolve problem or challenge.
Assumes responsibility in assuring the long-term success of our program's relationships with participants, collaborators, and staff for assigned project(s).
Manages regulatory issues, including protocol submissions, study record keeping, continuing approval, communication, and any other requirements specified by IRB.
Oversees adherence to research regulations including drafting, obtaining informed consent forms, data management, updating, collection, storage of trial related forms and paperwork, adverse event reports, and additional requirements specified by IRB, FDA, or other authorized regulatory bodies.
Performs activities related to assigned project(s), including purchasing and repairing programmatic supplies and/or hiring of program-related staff.
Contributes ideas and suggestions for the phases of assigned project(s).
Enters required research, clinical, and administrative data. Ability to plan, execute, and create/maintain records & minutes for all meetings, video/teleconferences.
Participates in additional data and resource collection, storage, management, auditing, and security as directed by research and program leadership.
Assists with producing reports, research summaries, business plans, and appropriate contributions to patient-directed materials, scientific meeting abstracts, academic publications, lay publications, and grant submissions, as directed by research and program leadership.
Performs other duties as needed.
