This position will coordinate lab operations, and perform laboratory work assisting a research programin support of ongoing vaccine and therapeutic development and testing. This position requires established expertise and perspective in real-time solving of logistical and procedural problems for the team, in the daily throughput of a highly-diverse array of fresh, biohazardous clinical specimens. The lab coordinator responsibilities of this position include being responsible for lab safety implementation and lab maintenance coordination; developing or refining of new assays; authoring of Standard Operating Procedures for group methods; oversight of the Lab\u2019s biohazardous materials shipment program as well as ensuring that laboratory is in working condition. The research assistant responsibilities of this position include management of specific projects, performing standardized and routine procedures and tests, coordination with team members and other groups, collecting, analyzing, and reporting data.
