Minority Fellowship Visiting Faculty Position
The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford is seeking to fill two teaching fellowship positions in the Faculty Diversity Program, The program is designed to assist the Bradford campus with the recruitment and retention of outstanding scholars from different backgrounds and specifically groups that have been underrepresented in higher education. The fellowship teaching positions will have primary teaching responsibilities in Pitt-Bradford's Freshman Seminar College Transition program. The Freshman Seminar program supports students as they transition to college, including introducing them to college expectations, campus resources, and student support opportunities. With a dynamically diversifying student body, we are particularly interested in candidates who have demonstrated experience working with diverse student bodies, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The position may also provide opportunities for discipline-based course delivery and engagement with curriculum development. We are particularly interested in candidates with disciplinary backgrounds in sociology, criminal justice, composition, rural health, and contemporary media communications, to be congruent with our emerging programmatic needs, The position is a one-year fulltime visiting position with the potential for extension.
