The Westchester Educational Opportunity Center (WEOC), a division of Westchester Community College, is seeking highly motivated and energetic instructional and student support personnel to join its team. Located in Yonkers, NY, the WEOC provides tuition-free non-credit academic and vocational training to eligible under served adults. Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and computer skills, and the ability to work with diverse populations, required.
The P/T Junior Administrative Assistant provides technical and administrative support related to program scheduling, data entry and general office support to the Academic Affairs unit. They will be responsible for entering all scheduling information into the BANNER system, ensuring that all programmatic information is updated in a timely manner, enter all community service information related to the NY HSE Testing Center, organizing and tracking all room schedule information and performing administrative support duties, as needed. Additional and specific duties will vary depending upon assignment. Supervision is not normally a responsibility of this position.
The hourly rate of pay is $13.00 per hour. No benefits. The work schedule will be a maximum of 28 hours per week. This position is fully grant funded.

A minimum of a high school or general equivalency diploma and five years of experience where the primary function of the position was in a staff or administrative support capacity, or where the primary function of the position was supervision of clerical positions required. The ability to work effectively with others and maintain clerical records involved in the operation, with thoroughness, accuracy, etc. is also required.
