The Graduate Assistant - Research (Doctorate Program - Justice Studies) will assist on Research Projects with faculty member in collecting and analyzing data and writing reports.

Required Education and Experience:
Doctoral Student in the Doctorate Program in Juvenile Justice at PVAMU.
Must be enrolled as a full-time graduate student at Prairie View A&M University. (Minimum of 9 credit hours during the regular fall and spring semesters and 6 semester credit hours for the summer semester).
Must be in good academic standing.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to effectively unitize the following Microsoft suite: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to multitask and work cooperative with others.
Must not work outside of their Graduate Research Assistantship
Satisfactory evaluation by the supervising professor
Satisfactory progress evaluation by the Doctoral Committee
Participation in monthly Brown Bag, sponsored by the Texas Juvenile Crime Prevention Center
Participation in the yearly college research symposium

Preferred Education and Experience:
Graduate Student majoring in Computer Science or Computer Information systems.
The applicant must be in good standing with the apartment and maintain a 3.5 or higher GPA.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication skills.
Programming skills a plus.
Work well with others in a teaching environment.
Wiling to work with faculty and students.
