Under the leadership of the Vice President for Enrollment Management, the University Registrar plans, directs, and administers the operations of the Office of the Registrar in support of the University?s strategic mission/vision. The Registrar is a key member of the Division of Enrollment Management leadership team and is responsible for the supervision and management of all administrative and operational functions of the Office of the Registrar. The Registrar ensures the integrity, compliance, accuracy and security of all academic records of current and former students; facilitates effective student registration and enrollment; develops and implements technology to make processes more efficient, develops and enforces policies related to enrollment, academic standing and records.
Plans, directs, and administers the operations of the Office of the Registrar in support of the University's strategic mission/vision. Develops and implements short and long terms goals, objectives, strategies, policies, rules, and operational procedures related to academic records, registration, permanent record maintenance, enrollment, transfers, grading, graduation, degree conferment, National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) regulations, and other related functions. Oversight of implementation of the strategies, measuring effectiveness on an ongoing basis. Serve as a key partner in contribution to the creation, execution and outcomes of the University's undergraduate strategic enrollment plan. Serves as the FERPA Compliance Officer and provides oversight and leadership in implementing and enforcing the University's policies and protocol regarding the use, dissemination, integrity, security, privacy of student information, identity management, as well as applicable federal and state law and regulations including the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and other regulations and best practices that ensure student record integrity.
Provides oversight and management of daily operations in the Office of the Registrar department. Responsible for oversight of budget, supervision of staff. Monitors team's core functional efforts, proactively addressing work flow, work distribution and/or staff performance. This role is responsible for coaching, mentoring and assisting with individual team members' goal development and supports professional development for the department as a group as well as individual team members. Collaborates with the Office of Special Events and the Office of Academic Affairs for the planning and execution of Commencement Ceremonies.
Collaborates with the Office of Academic Affairs, Colleges, Deans and multiple departments to facilitate and improve services to students, including compliance with academic policies, develops the Academic Calendar, and provides input to policy and procedural deliberations. Provide oversight for the preparation and submission of required reports for federal, state, institutional and other regulatory/governing bodies. Certifying official for all official transcripts and a variety of enrollment verifications for federal and state agencies, banks, consulates, NCAA, employers, etc.
Collaborates with the Office of Enrollment Management and Office of Information Technology to provide data in support of day-to-day operations. Provides data analysis information to leadership to support academic and administrative decisions. Uses internal data to inform planning and integrate emerging technologies and best practices to maximize operational efficiencies. Makes recommendation to leadership for initiatives in support of technological operational enhancements to improve the student experience, processing systems and data integrity.

Required Education and Experience:
Ten years of related experience including related supervisory experience.

Ten years of progressively responsible and demonstrated leadership experience in the successful management and administration of a comprehensive Registrar's office as Registrar, Senior Associate Registrar, Associate Registrar or equivalent in a college or university registrar unit.
Experience developing strategies that align with current issues and trends in admission and registrar operations.
Experience supporting student-centered and/or customer-centered operations within complex organizations, policies, process and systems is necessary to be successful in this role.
Experience with statistical analysis related to student enrollment, retention, and graduation.
Experience with Leepfrog catalog and curriculum and Degree Works.
Project management experience.
Budgetary Experience. Evidence of experience with budget oversight.
Power User experience with Ellucian Banner, Student, Registration, Curriculum and Graduation.
Previous experience working with federal and state guidelines related to registrar and admissions policies within higher education.
Evidence of experience with documentation of process, procedures and workflow.
