University Mail Services supports a consolidated mailing operation for campus departments to include: sorting and deliver of all USPS mail, parcels and accountable pieces, pickup and delivery of 190 buildings, supporting 560 delivery point locations (twice daily), distribution of internal campus documents and processing all outbound USPS mail in a centralized processing facility.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalency.
Ability to read, write, pay close attention to detail, excellent oral communication skills, organizational skills. Operates mail vehicle in a safe, competent manner, obeying all traffic laws and reporting any accidents to supervisor according to established procedure. Must maintain a valid NC Driver’s license.
Successful candidate will have a majority of the following: a background in performing delivery or materials on an assigned route with customer interaction, knowledge of United States Post Office policies and procedures, proven history of working in a successful team environment; ability to work without close supervision and excellent driving record supplemented with a defensive driving course.
