The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative, business, financial, and personnel support for Facilities Planning and Design/Engineering and Construction Services including the Executive Director of Facilities Planning and Design and Engineering Information Services, Executive Director of Facilities Services Engineering-Construction, Engineering Director, Engineering/Architectural Supervisors, Facilities Planners, Architects, Engineers, Interior Designers and other staff within the Department. This position requires knowledge of and the ability to apply various policies, procedures, and of information systems. Duties include, but are not limited to, customer service, administering documents, developing reports, budget management, reconciling financial data, and personnel administration.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Considerable demonstrated knowledge of office management practices to include the ability to develop reports from operational databases; organizational and administrative skills; the ability to learn, interpret, and explain policies, procedures, regulations, and methods of operation; proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Word, Outlook, and Excel; the ability to prioritize workload and handle multiple tasks; excellent oral and written communication skills; the ability to plan and organize events; the capability of working independently; and the ability to interact effectively with others.
Bachelor's degree preferred. The preferred candidate will have at least five (5) years of administrative support experience.
