In consultation with the Associate and Assistant Deans for Student Affairs, the Senior Research Assistant supports the academic mission of the Honors College by designing and overseeing the Diversity Peer Education Program for the Honors College. This includes selecting, training and mentoring the Diversity Peer Educators, serving as a representative of the Honors College and a liaison between the Honors College and outside collaborators, and assisting the Honors College in securing speakers for the Diversity Peer Educator Seminar. This role will also assist with the development and oversight of experiential learning experiences through Honors College Byrne Seminars and Alternative Break experiences. This position will also assist with experiential learning opportunities by researching and implementing various leadership development models with students. In addition, this role will conduct research on best practices in Diversity and Inclusion and oversee two graduate interns conducting program research.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Requires up to two years relevant experience in an administrative function, good communication and interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.
