Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Recruitment Coordinator for University Human Resources.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Manages job postings via Applicant Tracking System, including revision of job descriptions.
Serves as the liaison between management, staff, and applicants regarding employment policies, practices, and procedures.
Provides guidance and direction to hiring managers and administrative staff in the handling of staffing transactions, including process and timing, documentation, approval, implementation and communication.
Screens and evaluates candidates; checking references; and making recommendations to hiring authorities in accordance with relevant University policies and collective bargaining agreements.
Provides customer service to job seekers via phone, and e-mail the employment process and system.
Strives to continuously offer excellence in service with the goal to make Rutgers University an employer of choice.
Researches system questions/issues, documents and determines solutions, and provides administrative support to the Talent Acquisition and Staffing team.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Requires a bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources Management or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in a related field.
A minimum of two years' experience in human resources, preferably in such areas as: policy consultation and advisement, recruitment, staffing, training, and compliance with applicable federal and state employment laws, preferably in higher education and in a labor environment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Requires strong competencies in the HR disciplines such as: recruitment, selection and retention, compensation and benefits; employee and labor relations, professional and organization development and, safety and risk management.
Strong planning, organization, analytical, consultative and decision-making skills are a must.
Effective and confident communicator in both formal and informal business settings, with strong presentation skills required.
