The Department of Medicine, Division of General Medicine is seeking a Statistical Data Analyst to join the Biostatistics Core of the Center for Research Healthcare (CRHC) Data Center.
The CRHC Data Center provides high-quality collaboration in biostatistics, data management and information sciences, and qualitative analyses, and has over 500 research projects in its portfolio. The Biostatistics Core supports researchers by providing expert consultation and direct assistance on research study design, data management, statistical analyses, report generation, and writing research articles and grant proposals.
The Analyst will be supervised by senior-faculty statisticians, providing opportunities for mentoring, training, and professional development. The Analyst will assist faculty in designing and implementing appropriate methods for the management and analysis of complex research study data, manuscript preparation, and drafting statistical analyses and sample size sections of grant applications.
The Analyst will also advise other CRHC staff on statistical programming issues. The successful candidate must possess expertise in research methodology with emphasis on statistics or epidemiology, mastery of at least one statistical software (R, python, SAS, or Stata) and have strong interest to continuously learn new statistical methodology. The candidate must also be well-organized, efficient multi-tasker, possess outstanding communication skills, and able to work with a high level of autonomy.
Candidate must have a masters degree in statistics or related field with a high level of proficiency in a statistical package (R, python, SAS, or Stata). A combination of relevant experience, including academic internships, and education may be substituted for a masters degree.
