Provides advanced level administrative assistance on behalf of an academic department or major service unit within the university; Work hours: Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work requirements indicate; May require some nights and weekends as needed..
Responsibilities: 40% Office Support: Professionally answers and appropriately distributes incoming phone calls; distributes mail (incoming and outgoing, intra-campus); greets walk in guests and directs to appropriate individuals; maintains broad knowledge of all programs and services so individuals may be directed appropriately. Maintains a professional and orderly office environment. Works with building manager to schedule special events for COBA. Works with building manager and other COBA administrative assistants and COBA Department Heads to more effectively schedule courses on the Fort Worth campus. Â
40% Faculty and Administrative Support: Runs copies as needed for residential faculty and staff. Assists with events as needed. Support the daily COBA operations of the Fort Worth location as needed. Â
15% Administrative Support: Works closely with the Associate Dean for the Fort Worth campus. Submit and run reports as needed. Schedules appointments for Associate Dean.
5% Performs other duties as assigned by the Dean, Associate Dean, Department Heads, and Faculty.
Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Four years of related experience in general office or clerical work.Â Â
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Excellent written communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Ability to work in a high stress environment. Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality. Ability to work independently once given a project.
