The Business Counselor will function as a small business counselor serving start-up and some existing companies, support the director, and is also responsible for responsible for the daily fiscal management of the Center's multiple budgets. Will also be responsible for developing financial spreadsheets and completing short-term research projects for selected clients. The successful candidate will deliver business related seminars and oversee the center's client tracking system. Position also processes the departments travel reimbursements and other administrative functions.
Minimum Experience / Education:
Graduation from a four year college or university and one year of program associate experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
The preferred candidate will have business ownership experience, and be knowledgeable regarding business start-up issues and general business issues. This candidate will have a working knowledge of financial statements and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. This candidate must be detailed oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills. Business counseling experience strongly preferred. Familiarity with university processes or ability to quickly learn.
