Supports the operation of an espresso dessert station and or a dining operation, serving students, staff, and guests of the University; sets up the station for service; sells beverages, gelato and bakery items; greets and serves customers; acts as cashier; prepares sales reports; verifies selling prices; receives product, restocks store shelves, freezers and coolers; assists with inventory; maintains a clean and sanitary service and work area; brews coffee and makes espresso and specialty drinks; prepares and fills orders; receives cash, credit card, and Buck ID transactions and makes change; stocks and preps station setup; may include occasional work in food production and catering; position makes decisions based on established policies and procedures under the direction of the supervisor; work shifts will be 12:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m. with rotating weekends; requires successful completion of background check(s).
Six months of experience (600 hours of coursework) in customer service, preferably in a sales/retail environment; six months of experience (600 hours of coursework) in record keeping; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferably one year of experience and/or training in front line customer service, preferably in a sales or retail environment; one year of experience taking and filling food orders; one year of experience brewing premium coffees and making espresso based drinks; one year of cash handling experience; one year of experience in taking inventories; one year of experience in placing orders or requisitioning supplies.
Target Salary: $12.00 - $13.00 Hourly
