Provides high level administrative and strategic support to the leadership team for the Ohio State University Airport and Center of Aviation Studies (CAS); manages all details of leadership’s travel, including coordination of national and international travel itineraries requiring independent decision making, coordination and prioritizing of the leadership’s schedule and commitments, and post-travel organization and reimbursements; coordinates the administrative activities, scheduling appointments and administrative meetings for the leadership team; researches and analyzes information and materials for the leadership team; drafts communications, correspondences, and reports; communicates with college and university leaders in an effective and professional manner; serves as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders; collaborates with Business Manager and other leadership on key initiatives; uses substantial judgement and independent decision making authority when acting on behalf of the leadership structure; supports, plans, executes, and attends events and meetings for internal and external customers; provides fiscal support and serves as fiscal initiator primarily to the University Airport and CAS; initiates eRequests for processing; ensures all required documentation is obtained and uploaded for review; follows university and college policies and procedures to ensure eRequests are compliant and complete; makes decisions initially on purchasing method and researches university contracts; initiates travel requests for faculty and staff members into eTravel and assists with reimbursements, as needed; assists with financial reconciliation; establishes procedures & work processes based on established standards of customer service; develops and implements a structure for archiving and retrieving administrative records and information; coordinates workflow of administrative information from the department to other academic units, the college, university, and external entities; serves as an information resource to faculty, staff, and students seeking guidance and/or support; manages department Procurement Card usage, and reconciles P-Card purchases; educates staff on policy with P-Card use and ensures compliance.

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience; experience in program planning and administration; progressive experience working in an administrative capacity; experience in public relations or customer service; knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, scheduling and presentation software; ability to work independently and as a member of a team; ability to communicate with college and university leaders in an effective and professional manner.
Knowledge of University organization and procedures; demonstrated ability to work with a high level of autonomy, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality; demonstrated high level of proficiency.
Target Salary: $19.23 - $24.04 Hourly
