The Assistant/Associate Director, Parent Leadership Giving reports to the Director of Parent Development and is responsible for the qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of current Boston College parents capable of leadership gifts up to $249,000. Primary focus will be closing current-use gifts at the $10,000 through $25,000 level. The Assistant/Associate Director manages a portfolio of up to 200 parent donors and prospects and is expected to meet specific goals for contacts and completed solicitations. The Assistant/Associate Director writes effective solicitation letters and proposals and works collaboratively with peers in other fundraising areas including gift planning, athletics development, school development and organizational giving to maximize fundraising productivity. In addition, the Assistant/Associate Director will assist in the development of events, volunteer opportunities, and communications to maximize engagement and philanthropy of BC's parent community, both on-campus and regionally. The Assistant/Associate Director assists in the functional supervision of one development assistant who reports to the Director of Parent Development.

Assistant Director 1-3 years of professional level frontline fundraising experience; $67,400 - $84,250
Associate Director 3-5 years of professional level frontline fundraising experience; $76,250 - $95,300
This position requires a Bachelor's degree and at the Assistant Director level, this position requires a minimum of 1-3 years of professional level frontline fundraising with a proven record of soliciting and closing annual cash gifts of $10,000 to $25,000; 3-5 years of experience is required for the Associate Director level. Travel and some evenings and weekend work is required to be successful. A valid driver's license is required. Proficiency with technology and relevant software applications, such as Google mail (Gmail), MSWord, MS Excel, and PowerPoint is expected. To be successful, must be a team player who is highly motivated and dedicated to the goals of advancing higher education.
