The Department of Communication at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking Part Time faculty to teach undergraduate courses, especially public speaking, argument and/or public relations. Applicants are welcome to identify additional undergraduate classes in Pitt's Communication curriculum that they are well prepared to teach. MA degree required. The official starting date for the position is September 1, 2019, but the classroom responsibilities begin during the week of August 26. Applicants should apply to join.pitt.edu with Communication PT Faculty in the subject heading and attach a curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching philosophy, a separate statement that demonstrates the applicant's past and/or potential contributions to diversity and inclusion through teaching, sample course syllabi and evidence of teaching effectiveness. In order to receive full consideration, applications should be submitted as soon as possible. Applications will be assessed on August 19 and continue be considered until positions have been filled.
