Detailed Job Description
Position will provide support to the Event Management System, checking on daily scheduling of NTID space for meetings, workshops and special events. Works closely with Student Life Team as well as assisting faculty and staff and occasional outside requests for space. Will also provide general administrative support to NTID's Professional Development program, which includes support for RIT ASL and Deaf Studies Community Center and NTID's Faculty Development Coordinator. Position provides all aspects of event logistics, budget management and office support for professional development activities.
Required Minimum Qualifications
2 - 5 years of office support experience
1 - 2 years of experience with budget
Familiarity with using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet applications
Excellent time management skills, organization skills, and attention-to-detail
Excellent writing skills
Ability to complete multiple tasks efficiently while handling frequent interruptions
Strong problem solving skills and ability to work under minimal supervision to complete tasks and meet deadlines, with an emphasis on a high level of customer service
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with diverse constituencies
Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to work in a changing environment
High level of professionalism and confidentiality
Proficiency in American Sign Language or willingness to learn
