Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Business Office Supervisor, responsible for procurement of major scientific, computer, laboratory, and office supplies for research, teaching, and outreach programs of four departments and for the administrative unit of the BFTV Cluster. Responsible for processing all Accounts Payable requests including purchase agreements, requisitions/Purchase Orders, direct charge reimbursements and travel and entertainment reimbursements. Responsible for physical equipment inventory for three departments and the Cluster and for non-major facilities issues.
Physical Demands: Lift and move office materials weighing up to 30 lbs.
Sit for prolonged periods in front of a computer terminal and use of keyboard and mouse.
Work Environment: Limited leave during critical cluster deadlines and fiscal close.

Minimum Qualifications: Experience purchasing equipment, lab and office supplies, and lab chemicals.
Experience processing lease agreements and service agreements.
Experience maintaining space and equipment inventory and updating and tracking within a software program.
Experience with accounts payable with emphasis on calculating percentages, total costs, and sales tax.
Experience with travel processes and policies, providing travel guidelines and processing travel reimbursements.
Experience using automated accounting systems.
Interpersonal communication skills to clearly and effectively interact with a diverse range of individuals and perspectives in order to research and secure information to resolve problems and recommend alternatives.
Skills to organize work effectively to achieve timely progress on multiple simultaneous projects, distribute effort appropriately among the projects, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of productivity.
Experience in customer service and customer satisfaction, with an emphasis on meeting client needs.
Experience with computer software including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, internet).
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with KFS, purchasing (including UCD Buy and PCARD), accounts payable and receivable, and bookkeeping.
Knowledge of UC policies, procedures, and processes, including travel and entertainment, services agreements, and contracts.
Knowledge of department organization, equipment inventory procedures and policies, and condition of department common research and teaching equipment and computers.
Experience working with MyTravel, KFS and DaFIS Decision Support, CAMS.
