This position is the first point of contact in the reception area for the department. Under limited supervision, performs a variety of general office, administrative and secretarial duties with variable complexity while following office and administrative practices, policies and procedures. Maintains front lobby area. Posts a variety of routine information and data to keep department records, sets-up and organizes files, purges records and maintains filing systems. Types or composes correspondences, memos, reports and/or forms from rough drafts, clear copies, notes or recordings. Log statistical data or fiscal data in a variety of formats and compiles informational reports as needed, proofreads written or numerical documents, collects and distributes information such as mail and faxes; run mail using mail processor, receives, sorts and distributes mail to the appropriate party. Uses computer and office equipment to input, retrieve, verify, scan and research information. Prepare purchase requisitions, miscellaneous disbursement vouchers and travel authorizations. Updates and maintains appropriate calendars. Order supplies and materials for the department. Provides administrative support and coordination of the Medical Physics Program training program.
