Salary Range: $55,518-$60,000 at 100% FTE (12 months). Salary will be prorated for 11 months.
The Professional Nurse in the Primary Care setting is responsible for organizing and providing direct patient care for those patients served by the Campus Health Services; applying clinical expertise in the utilization of the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation); recognizing that the scope and complexity of patient's conditions vary from primary to chronic and routine to acute; and acting as a liaison between health care provider and patient to promote optional patient care. The Professional Nurse also implements educational programs, assists with complex technical/medical procedures, and supervises ancillary nursing personnel.
Education and Experience:
License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.
Technical Knowledge, Critical Thinking, Consulting/Advising, Client/Customer Service, Coaching/Mentoring and Communication. Precision, exactness and accuracy are essential to the practice of nursing care.
Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing and 6 months experience as a Registered Nurse. Prefer experience in an acute/ambulatory care/office based setting, administration vaccine/medication injections, telephone triage and initiation of intravenous therapy. Experience with College Health helpful.
