1. Provide supervision for a multi-shift team of up to 15 custodial personnel in performance of duties in academic, administrative and athletic facilities. 2. Assign and schedule work; establish individual workloads and assign personnel to specific work areas. 3. Order and maintain supply inventory; train, counsel and evaluate performance of employees. 4. Prepare personnel actions memorandums; interview and recommend personnel for filling vacant positions. 5. Approve leave and submit time cards in the Kronos timekeeping system and absentee lists to supervisor. 6. Maintain equipment inventory and repair records; compile maintenance checklist and report needs to supervisor. 7. Perform daily inspections and correct deficiencies. 8. Test and make recommendations on supply and equipment purchases.
Minimum Experience / Education:
Graduation from high school and five years experience in the area of work assigned, three of which were in a supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
1.Graduation from high school and five years' experience in the area of work assigned, three of which were in a supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 2.Associates' or Bachelors' degree with ten years' experience including more than two years' supervisory experience. 3. Knowledge and skill with the proper use and care of all manual power equipment and chemicals required in building environmental services functions. 4. Experience in maintaining equipment inventory and repair records. 5. Ability to effectively communicate the English language (reading, writing, interpretation and comprehension) required. 5.Effective skills in verbal, written and interpersonal communications. 6.Knowledge and skill with Google Chrome, Microsoft Word and Excel, and willingness to learn new programs. 7.Ability to effectively work/interact with persons from different backgrounds and cultures. 8.Ability to foster and create an atmosphere of teamwork. 9. The selected candidate must have the mental and physical capabilities to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
