This position coordinates Human Resource activities for assigned areas, acting as a liaison between Human Resources specialist staff and the assigned staff divisions/departments. The position provides services such as coaching, facilitation, inquiries, guidance in employee relations and equal opportunity, with periodic needs to coordinate these services with employee leaves and accommodations staff. This position works collaboratively with HR specialists to execute the work of each area. This position proactively works on creating and maintaining Gonzaga University as a welcoming and inclusive environment for all through these functions, founded in the mission of Gonzaga University.
1.Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or related field 2.One or more years responsible experience in human resources department in an employee relations function 3.Current knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations 4.Excellent verbal and written communication skills; \ 5.excellent interpersonal skill to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, and all organization levels 6.Experience in interpreting and enforcing policy with high-level customer service implementation 7.Demonstrated ability to operate with a high level of confidentiality and discretion 8.Able to work non-traditional hours on a periodic, as needed basis
