This 40 hour position has two main areas of responsibility: Child Protection Team and Office of Decedent Affairs.
You will be responsible for:
Answering phone calls from:
Child Protective Services and foster care workers
Prosecutors and Attorney Generals
Other medical providers
Families who have scheduled clinic visits
Families seeking information about Bereavement and resources
Scheduling clinic or second opinion appointments for the SCAN (Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect) Clinics
Managing and organizing calendar and schedules for CPT and Office of Decedent Affairs staff
Maintain calendars for staff
Schedule rooms for meetings
Maintain databases and update website
Assist with conference planning and preparation (work with Procurement and ensure correct presenter paperwork and credentials)
Ensure contact information for community partners (courts, judges, prosecutors, funeral homes, etc) are up to date
Assist with correspondence, mailings, etc
Deposit checks in cashier’s office
High school graduate or an equivalent and at least two years of experience.
The ideal candidate will have:
Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
Strong customer service focus
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
Ability to work independently and regularly exercise judgment in setting priorities
Ability to compose and produce professional correspondence
Proficiency with Word, Excel, Power Point and Access
Basic email and calendaring system skills and have reasonable knowledge of University Policies and Procedures
Comfortable interacting with patients and families in stressful situations.
This is full time, 40 hour/week position. The typical schedule is Monday-Friday with start and end times 8:00-4:30 or 8:30-5:00.
