Under the general supervision of the Pediatric Urology Chair, the incumbent will have active involvement in determining and providing the nursing needs of the patients and families of the Pediatric Urology practice.The incumbent will provide direct clinical care to the pediatric urology patients, as well as to their family members. They will act as a liaison between the physicians and the clients. The incumbent will ensure that nursing care is carried out as directed, and treatment administered in accordance with the physician's instructions.The incumbent will have knowledge of physical, social, psychological, and nursing sciences which serve as a basis for the decision-making processes of nursing practice.This position leans on excellent clinical judgment, creating and implementing policies and procedures, problem identification, and collaborative communication.The University of California, Irvine is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer advancing inclusive excellence.
