The Department of Academic Advising in the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Cincinnati is currently accepting applications for two open Academic Advisor positions. Academic Advisors provide advice to current and prospective students on ways they can meet their educational goals.
Characteristic Duties Include:
Advising current and prospective students on the various courses and academic programs available to meet their educational goals
Serve as liaison to a college or department; assist in conceptualizing, developing, implementing and evaluating the advising/retention services and programs
Develop alternative pathways to ensure student success (i.e., for students who fail to meet their initial goals)
Perform other related duties as needed and assigned
Bachelor's degree and one (1) year experience; -OR- Associate's degree and three (3) years’ experience; -OR- five (5) years’ experience; experience must be in advising high school and/or college students or related field
