Kent State University accepts applications on a continuous basis for part-time faculty. All classes are taught on-site at the Kent Campus.
Examples of Duties:
Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:
Adjuncts teach no more than nine credit hours per semester (three courses). Adjunct instructors generally teach introductory level courses (Introduction to Photography [VCD 28000], Photography 2 [VCD 28002], or PhotoTech [VCD 38003]). Intermediate and Advanced courses may be eligible for adjunct instruction depending on program needs and instructor expertise.
Masters of Fine Arts (MFA) in photography and/or Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in photography with sufficient experience in the industry. Proficiency in digital photography, Photoshop, and studio lighting is preferred. Teaching experience is a plus but not required.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
Light work-Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally.
