The U.T. Student Health Center is seeking a full-time Inventory Specialist. The position is a non-exempt hourly position. Duties will be carried out in accordance with established standards and ethics of medical confidentiality and as stated in the Student Health Center's policies. Duties/Responsibilities: 1.Inventory Control *Maintain the inventory management system within the SHC *Procurement, stocking, and delivery of all supplies for the Student Health Center *Monitor all expiration dates of supplies *Practice "first in/first out" method within the management of all supplies *Perform monthly inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory count records *Maintain a positive customer service approach to carrying out duties.
2.Fiscal Duties *Verify pricing of supplies purchased to ensure contract pricing is being upheld. *Comparison shop for the most cost-effective means to purchase supplies *Comply with the procurement/contract/fiscal policies of the University of Tennessee *Must obtain and submit all documentation supporting the purchase and receipt of supplies procured.
3.Administrative Duties: *Assist in the development of policies and procedures regarding procurement and inventory control with the Student Health Center. *Works with the Accounting Specialist and Business Manager to ensure all fiscal controls are performed when procuring supplies. *Participate in committee meetings within the Student Health Center *Meet all annual training requirements of OSHA, FERPA, TITLE IX, Infection Control, etc. *Participate in quality improvement activities to ensure productivity and compliance of purchasing and inventory control standards for accreditation purposes.
