The Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine at the University of Washington, School of Medicineand Puget Sound VA Medical Center are recruiting a full-time general cardiology faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level (without tenure due to funding) commensurate with qualifications. This is a 12-month period position. This position will demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care with a focus on general, noninvasive cardiology and a willingness to expand our outpatient practice. We would encourage candidates to take advantage of the outstanding opportunities that exist for collaboration at the University of Washington and opportunities exist to develop scholarly programs and be involved in medical education.
University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. This position will remain open until filled. Anticipated start date will be April 1, 2019.
Applicants must have an MD degree (or foreign equivalent) and be board certified/eligible in cardiovascular diseases, or foreign equivalents. Any U.S. citizen may apply. Non-citizens may be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S,) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
