This is a staff position that will work on the NIH grant funded Brown â˜Initiative for Maximizing Student Developmentâ™ (IMSD) program- http://biomed.brown.edu/imsd/. This training program encompasses all BioMed and School of Public Health graduate programs, as well as the graduate programs of Applied Math, Cognitive, Linguistics, and Psychological Sciences (CLPS), Computational Science, School of Engineering, Chemistry, and Physics, offering intensive student-centered training modules and seminars designed to support and enhance local graduate program training of students pursuing the PhD or MD/PhD degrees. The Brown IMSD program also works with five partner academic institutions external to Brown and coordinates training efforts with other units and programs at Brown. The incumbent will coordinate daily activities of the program, direct program management of the goals of the grant, coordinate and manage modules, student appointments and progress, manage all financial activities, provide interoffice support, assist with grant submissions and reporting, develop promotional and printed materials including the website and newsletter, and overall administrative management.
Bachelor's required (Master's preferred)
Bachelorâ™s degree with at least 3-5 years of related experience in program coordination, preferably in academic environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to develop relationships within the University and outside stakeholders and effectively establish collaborations.
Experience in program and financial management.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize multiple initiatives effectively, and manage diverse job responsibilities.
Excellent communication, organization, and computer skills.
Possesses a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive campus community
