Assistant Director - Southern MD Higher Ed Center Webster University

Job Description Summary: The Assistant Director will be responsible for campus operations, recruitment of new students, and shall have administrative responsibilities to the regional staff, students, faculty, and site education office personnel. The incumbent performs these and other duties as assigned, and he or she will report to the Regional Director for the National Capital Region. This is a 37.5 hour per week position with occasional evening and weekend work required.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelors Degree is required. Other requirements include entrepreneurial zeal, office administration experience, strong leadership and management skills, excellent customer service, professional appearance, exceptional communication skills, high motivation, and the ability to deal with a diverse population of students and faculty. The Assistant Director must have a proven track record of success. The candidate must be able to work in a highly collegial workplace and be able to recruit new students and retain existing ones. Experience with business networking and marketing abilities are critical enablers of success. Prior experience in a collegiate academic environment and a demonstrably strong network in the southern Maryland counties or the local business community is a plus. Adhere to licensing agencies regulations as well: HLC and MHEC (Maryland Higher Education Commission).
Preferred Qualifications Masters Degree
Essential Duties Maintain enrollments at site, recruit new students. Coordinate with the National Capital Region sites to provide support for studetns with courses and planning ahead. Work with the site Education staff to adhere to their guidelines.
