Advertised Job Summary:
The assistant director for operations and risk management is responsible for the leadership and management of operations at the Blatt PE Center including policies, scheduling, equipment, risk management and maintenance. This position will manage onsite functions and provide opportunities for students to engage in meaningful beyond the classroom experiences. Assists in the coordination of scheduling space requests for the Blatt PE Center.
The primary responsibilities of the assistant director include:
Direct facility operations to support the department mission to include customer service functions, event management and operations of access and security systems.
Provide direct supervision to professional staff to include a coordinator, as well as the Blatt PE Center customer service representative.
Serve as the departmental risk management coordinator and work closely with the University's risk management, emergency management, and environmental health and safety to ensure the safe operation, compliance and adherence with University standards and best practices for facilities
Create and administer program budget using appropriate university financial policies and tools to ensure that revenue and expenses are at an optimal level.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
High school diploma and 7 years related experience. Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification. Certified pool operator's license is required, but may be secured within 3 months of employment. This position requires a variable work schedule. Evening & weekend hours will be required. In addition, this position has been designated as essential personnel during inclement/hazardous weather and other emergencies. This position will also support the University's mission and goals through participating in recruitment and retention activities, as appropriate, for prospective and current students.
