Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Working basic to intermediate knowledge of research principles.
Collects and prepares data and information related to requested defined research.
Working knowledge of research tools such as Lexis-Nexis, iWave, Donor Centric, Research Point, Obituary Data, Advizor Solutions, Google Search, Linked In.
Researches and analyzes constituent data and compiles data in presentations for gift officers.
Researches, compiles, interprets and under general direction from the Director, Prospect Strategy and Research, makes judgments on potential donor information to make recommendations to fundraisers.
Under general direction, analyze data such as engagement scores, giving capacity scores, relationship patterns and other benchmarks for recommendation of potential donors.
Minimum Experience / Education:
Completion of coursework for a four-year college degree in an area related to social science, including coursework in statistics, research methodology, computer science, and/or other coursework directly related to the work to be performed and six months of experience in gathering, editing, and analyzing data for social and economic research; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
Six to twelve months experience in the non-profit sector.
Some knowledge of UNC Charlotte, the University of North Carolina System or higher education fund raising preferred.
Knowledge of nonprofit organization basics.
Attention to detail.
Customer Service Skills.
Knowledge of research resources Lexis-Nexis, iWave, Donor Centric, Research Point, Obituary Data, Advizor Solutions, Google Search, Linked In.
