Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Public Administration, Management Information Systems, or related field. Master's degree in related field preferred. Three years relevant specialist experience in marketing, advertising, public relations, market research, or communications, or experience in a related field. Certifications may be required. Experience in Higher Education and specialized work is desirable. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

Performs highly advanced and complex specialist duties for the Office of Enrollment Management.
Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only):
Performs highly advanced and complex specialist duties. Accountable for the execution and follow through of complex and technical responsibilities. Plans, develops, implements, coordinates and monitors the university's prospective student Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software program. Strategically markets the CRM program to all prospective student populations. Develops marketing and communication strategies for the department. Develops and maintains the SHSU prospective CRM tools. Assists in creating the SHSU prospective marketing campaigns. Responds to information requests. Collects, reconciles, and maintains complex data. Coordinates and implements departmental processes. May conduct investigations. Monitors budgets, accounts, and expenditures. Monitors project timelines and identifies issues. Prepares reports. Plans and coordinates events. Provides training on the CRM system. Develops, coordinates, and implements assigned processes. Acts as the lead on the generation and development campaigns for prospective student populations. Oversees website. Provides assistance with and interprets policies and procedures. Prepares, reviews, revises and distributes documents and correspondence. Coordinates and supervises program activities. Conducts research for preparation and dissemination of information. Coordinates, compiles, and evaluates data received from a variety of sources relating to the effectiveness of the assigned activity, program, or project. Designs and prepares reports and publications for distribution within the department. Recommends to the supervisor internal policies and procedures, clerical functions, and work-flow to ensure effective and efficient operation. Directs assignments of clerical staff and determines work priorities and evaluates progress and deadlines. Performs other related duties as assigned.
