Supports a broad range of interdisciplinary programs and functions to ensure effective operations and the achievement of College of Medicine (COM) objectives, while performing administrative and operational activities in support of the COM, Office of Research.
Sr. Associate Dean for Research and Sr. Associate Dean for Clinical Research.
Assume responsibility for a wide range of projects/tasks whereby decisions and quality of execution have significant impact and influence on the Office.
Plan and coordination of operational activities for the Office of Research.
Perform administrative and operational activities in support of the COM and the Office of Research.
Perform daily administrative duties including calendar management for designated COM leadership to include, but not limited to, the Sr. Associate Dean for Research and the Sr. Associate Dean for Clinical Research.
Identify problems, recommend solutions, and document procedures.
Assist with COM event planning and represent the Dean’s Office at COM events (some weekends and evenings are required).
Develop and maintain PowerPoint presentations, spreadsheets, and databases.
Prioritize and coordinate room scheduling across the COM.
Formulate, recommend, and implement policies and procedures to increase efficiency of the Office.
Represent administration at committee meetings, with authority to make commitments.
Perform other related duties based upon the needs of the office.
Minimum and Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with at least five (5) years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
