Associate Director D
The Associate Director will establish collegial relationships built on mutual respect and intellectual rigor with faculty in the design of new online, blended, and in-person courses and programs, and in the translation of existing courses for an online or professional learning environment. The Associate Director will gain an understanding of faculty members' teaching objectives and help create learning outcomes, course design, course elements, and assessments to leverage instructional technologies and capabilities of the online and in-person environment.
Staying current on instructional and learner-focused technologies and strategies, the Associate Director will help faculty and staff analyze the viability of applicable technologies and approaches to meet the learning objectives for the course and/or program, and help in the implementation of these solutions. The Associate Director will create standardized processes and guidelines of best practices for developing future opportunities and will analyze the performance of these solutions to inform future course and program design.
The Associate Director collaborates with faculty and interfaces with clients in designing, developing and delivering high quality customized executive education programs as measured by participant evaluations and client feedback. The Associate Director manages a high volume of programs in an assigned portfolio, and ensures learning objectives are met. To accomplish this, the Associate Director will understand the clientâ™s needs, be thoroughly knowledgeable about the faculty and resources available, and design and deliver unique, targeted, impactful solutions to accomplish agreed upon client objectives. This includes developing relationships with faculty, and cultivating new Penn GSE faculty, new instructors, and senior leaders for professional learning programs.
A Bachelor's Degree and 5 years to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required; Masterâ™s Degree is preferred. Demonstrated experience working with higher education faculty, and some online teaching experience and/or in-person facilitation experience is highly preferred. Previous experience with online education is preferred. Strong presentation skills to internal and external audiences required. Extreme attention to quality of output and detail required. Strong customer service skills. Experience working in cross-functional teams is required. Strength in building and maintaining effective relationships across working groups is required. Proven ability to multi-task in an environment with competing priorities.
