Raskob Learning Institute and Day School, a division of, and located at Holy Names University, is seeking to fill the position of Clinic Coordinator. The Clinic Coordinator will coordinate quality diagnostic and educational therapy programs for the clinic, insuring integration with educational programs in the University, as well as providing and delivering direct educational therapy instruction and support to clinic clients, both from the community and within Raskob.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION: Oversees the Diagnostic testing and evaluation program. Ensures quality assessments and reports, and that the results are communicated effectively to clients. Coordinates individual client schedule based on family and client need, in coordination with Day School/Clinic service hours. Engages in effective written and oral communication with parents or clients, and between allied professionals and other staff. Organizes schedules for effective service delivery by clinicians. Provides effective leadership when dealing with Clinic client issues involving students, parents, clinicians, and staff. Consults with families, clients, teachers of the Day School and allied professionals. Communicates regularly with the Executive Director as to program quality, development and work load. Collaborates with the Business Manager and clinicians to communicate contract needs (for clients and clinicians). Participate in the employment and discharge of clinicians with a focus on the provisions of educational services for summer program. Individually consults with the clinicians regarding client and educational interventions. Conducts screening of all applicants considered for the Raskob Learning Institute and Day School programs. Assigns client cases to clinicians and Educational Therapy intern candidates when needed. Oversees clinicians to deliver regular progress reports regarding academic growth. Consults/collaborates with Day School Staff regarding student needs, in-class observations, as necessary. Communicates with Educational Therapy interns and their supervisors to insure instructional quality for all Institute Clients. Individually orients clinicians and Educational Therapy candidates in clinic operations. Maintains a collaborative environment between the Institute and Day School. Coordinates attendance at HNU meetings, seminars, and workshops as requested. Participates in Raskob, Holy Names University, and other community functions representing the Institute. Actively recruits and maintain a roster of qualified educational therapist.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Master's degree from an accredited college or university in education and equivalent professional experience. Preferred degree in Special Education, Educational Therapy, Psychology or other similar fields. Professional certification or licensure as a Special Educator, Learning Specialist, Educational Therapist, or Psychologist. Minimum of three to five years' experience in a school or clinic setting. Experience as an administrator or supervisor in a group setting, and with learning specialists. Demonstrated experience in the field of special education, particularly with children diagnosed with learning disabilities. Enjoys working with people in a highly challenging and collaborative environment. Must enjoy working with children. Strong command of the English language as demonstrated in oral and written communication. Demonstrates cultural competency.
