Tutoring of third and fourth year medical students during the student’s core clerkships to help ensure the students success. The expectation is that the resident will meet with an assigned student one to two hours per week during any of their core clerkships (more time allowed if the student and tutor both agree and the resident has the approval of their residency director). The primary role of the tutor is to act more as a coach; more so than a traditional tutor, while the student seeks to meet the clerkship requirements. The specifics of the tutoring schedule is determined by resident and the student.
