MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The candidate for the position of Information Integration Manager must meet the following qualifications:
Bachelorâs degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Extensive applicable experience in computer science, data science, computer information systems, and/or a related field.
Six years of experience in information technology or higher education.
Extensive experience with MySQL, Microsoft SQL, and Oracle databases.
Deep knowledge of integration architecture and data management workflow.
Knowledge of metadata management.
Experience in managing releases for data warehousing products and integrations.
Experience with the software development life cycle (SDLC) methodology.
Ability to develop positive working relationships and a strong rapport with team members; demonstrated experience in leading a multifunctional team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate for the position of Information Integration Manager has the following qualifications:
Bachelorâs degree in business management, computer science, data science, computer information systems, or a related field.
More than eight years of experience in information technology or higher education. Three or more years of experience in a management or leadership position.
Experience with cloud data and data-management solutions from providers such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Informatica Cloud Services.
Proven experience configuring and tuning data warehouse, ETL, reporting, and analytics applications and underlying software.
Extensive experience in unit and automated integration testing.
Is a persuasive and effective communicator with the ability to interact with a wide variety of stakeholders and with experience presenting the business side of technical topics to non-technical audiences.
THE WORK YOU WILL DO
The Information Integration Manager oversees data integration planning, design, development, testing, and implementation. The Information Integration Manager ensures best-in-class design and development to integrate custom and off-the-shelf consumer applications through data virtualization. As part of the management team, the Information Integration Manager builds strong relationships across the ITS organization. As a member of ITS, the Information Integration Manager is expected to model and cultivate ITSâs cultural values and behaviors within his or her team.
The Information Integration Manager:
Delivers best-in-class technical support by overseeing the design, development, testing, and management of integrations that enable the flow of data to a broad range of ITS systems and reports.
Ensures data quality by overseeing the mapping of data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics.
Collaborates with data architecture peers to determine the proper approach for data management and to ensure data accuracy and validity.
Drives process and technology improvements by using the standard SDLC methodology; identifies and develops new integration methods and tools to enable improvements across key metrics.
Ensures requirements are met by managing unit and integration testing of code.
Builds and maintains strong relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders to ensure that consistent, reliable service is delivered to a range of campus stakeholders.
Establishes and maintains trusted relationships with customers, partners, and ITS departments to build an information technology strategy that responds to the business vision, goals, and strategy of the university.
