The USC Price Schoolâs undergraduate programs blend a liberal arts foundation with the cultivation of professional competence. Our undergraduate programs readily prepare students to enter graduate study or begin their careers at public, private, and nonprofit organizations. We have an immediate opening for a Student Services Advisor II.
Job responsibilities include:
Provide academic counseling for undergraduate students.Â Advise on matters of curriculum, course and degree requirements, graduation counseling, and clearance.Â Monitor student progress.Â
Maintain student records and coordinates registration activities, degree progress, enrollment and degree verification, and transcripts with the USC Office of Academic Records and Registrar. Assists with petition applications. Maintain information in Student Information System and other university information systems.
Evaluate student problemsâacademic, administrative, or personalâand refer student to appropriate student services for additional counseling. Work with other offices on behalf of students to facilitate problem resolution.
Maintains and compiles statistical data.Â Prepares reports for internal and external use.Â
Plans and coordinates student events including orientation, receptions, and award ceremonies.Â Contracts with vendors for services and attends and oversees events to ensure arrangements are handled as planned.Â
Preferred experience: Three years of student advising experience or equivalence
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree
Minimum Experience: 1 year
Minimum Field of Expertise: Student program or services experience
