The USC Mark and Mary Stevens Neuroimaging and Informatics Institute and Laboratory of Neuro Imaging (INI, www.ini.usc.edu) are world leaders in the development of advanced computational and scientific approaches for the comprehensive mapping of brain structure and function. LONIâs unique multidisciplinary environment and cutting edge resources allow for integration of clinical, psychological and genotypic information with neuroimaging phenotypes for research questions in neurology, psychiatry and developmental neurobiology. We are looking for a full time Project Assistant with experience maintaining database records and providing support to internal and external investigators.
oÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Help maintain specialized databases, systems and related records
oÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Coordinate collection and dissemination of project-related information
oÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Coordinate and implement data collection instruments in an electronic data capture system
oÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Write clear and logical instructions
oÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Perform data quality control using statistical and other means
oÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Provide instruction on proper quality assurance procedures and respond to questions regarding data collection, coding, management and sharing methods
oÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Manipulate and query large data files in various formats (comma-delimited, database, spreadsheets, fixed-length plus others)
oÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Assist with ensuring compliance with government regulations and guidelines and/or ensuring consistency and accuracy in procedures and practices.

Ability to provide guidance and help oversee data collection and quality control activities
Ability to find logical relationships between data
Use of presentation software
Proactively evaluate and identify data conversion, quality or validity issues
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's degree is required
Experience: Two years experience assisting with project management (organization, scheduling and implementing project activities) and performing data collection/coordination/quality control.Â Experience with relational database systems and with the REDCap EDC is a plus.
