The Section of Infections & Immunity at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry is seeking a talented Research Associate. This position will participate in all laboratory activities for the purpose of enhancing and developing research competencies, and will participate in planning, designing, and conducting highly technical and complex research projects under the direction of the Principal Investigatorâs supervision.Â
The highly motivated individual will perform a combination of duties including: Plans, designs and conducts highly technical and complex research projects independently, Identifies, researches, compiles and evaluates data sources, background information and/or technology related to area of specialization, Analyzes and evaluates research data utilizing computers and provides interpretations requiring significant knowledge of a specialized area of research. This individual will contribute to the development of research documentation for publication and or/prepares technical reports, papers, and or/records. In addition, this individual will perform other related duties as assigned or requested.Â The University reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
This position is a 1 year fixed-term, part-time position.Â It is funded by a research contract/grant and may be renewable based on continued receipt of necessary funding and at the discretion of the department. â
Minimum Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctorateMinimum Experience: 1 yearMinimum Field of Expertise: Directly related education and experience in research specialization with advanced knowledge of equipment, procedures and analysis methods.
