The PPFP and the School of Kinesiology are interested in scholars in the broad field of Kinesiology whose research addresses the needs of groups that have been historically underserved by academic research. This includes:
Applicants with the potential to bring to their academic research the critical perspective that comes from their understanding of the experiences of groups historically underrepresented in higher education or underserved by academic research generally;
Applicants in science, technology, engineering, math, economics or political science fields who can articulate how their research has the potential to serve the needs of groups that have been historically underserved by academic research;
Applicants who, in addition to their primary field of interest in math, science, engineering, economics, political science or technology fields, have the potential to make research contributions to understanding the barriers facing members of groups who have been historically underrepresented in these fields in higher education;
Applicants who have research interests focusing on underserved populations and understanding inequalities.

Ph.D., M.D., or other doctorate in any area of Kinesiology or related discipline
Research expertise in an area complementary to Kinesiology such as, but not limited to sport economics, sport and/or health and exercise data analytics, basic or applied exercise or movement science (for example: biomechanics, exercise physiology, neuromotor control, physical activity interventions), intraoperative neuromonitoring or exercise and disability.
Demonstrated potential for high scholarly impact
Evidence of successful classroom teaching experience (as a student or professional)
A strong commitment to teaching, interdisciplinary research, and cultural diversity
Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally, to attend or present at conferences and/or research meetings
Eligible to work in the US
