Job Description Summary
Plans and conducts basic experiments to meet research project objectives, with close supervision. Assists in performing laboratory experiments. Daily management of laboratory tool, documentations and processes to ensure regulatory compliance and timely completion of project/program deliverables. Closely collaborates with Principal Investigator (PI) on experimental work set ups in accordance to established protocols. Specifically, this position will be working in a laboratory performing functional analyses of epithelial proliferation, differentiation, and carcinogenesis using cell culture and mouse models.Responsibilities include performing experiments, assisting in the design and analysis of experiments, preparing reagents, ordering supplies, and maintaining detailed lab records. The Research Specialist B will be expected to work independently on more sophisticated research projects and Supervise any students and or temp workers. Position is contingent upon funding.
Qualifications - Research Specialist A Bachelor's Degree with 0-1 year of related experience in research and clinical study methodologies or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Prior laboratory experience highly preferred. Must be willing to work with mice.
Qualifications - Research Specialist B
Bachelor's Degree with 1-3 years of related experience in research and clinical study methodologies or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. The Research Specialist B will be expected to perform experiments in an independent manner and have several years of prior lab experience and experience working with mice. They will supervise all students and temp workers.
