Drives the creation of original concepts resulting in effective and compelling communication.
Brings brand voice to life while maintaining brand guidelines and standards.
Collaborates with subject matter experts and clients to develop strong, clear and concise writing that appeals to the intended audience and champions the brand of the University of Houston and University of Houston System.
Develops engaging, relevant and results-oriented content for digital and print media and advertising marketing efforts.
Partners with Creative Services, the Branding Team, the Communications Team and Leadership to develop key messages that support messaging strategies across all channels and formats.
Develops concepts and writes content for a wide variety of projects including but not limited to ads, brochures, annual reports, fliers, direct mail, magazines and videos.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Bachelors and 3 years experience
Education: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.Preferred: Degree in communications, public relations, journalism, English or related field.Experience: Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.Direct Experience: advertising writing, copywriting, concept development, writing creative content for emails, direct mail, websites, video, print campaigns, and events.Developing print and digital advertising content for various target audiences.
